Family Trip to Kruger’s Farm

October 15, 2018

This was our first family trip to the pumpkin patch this year. We go to the same one on Sauvies Island every year, Kruger’s Farm. Luna and I had gone once before this a couple weeks ago during the week and we were literally the ones at the farm. But this time it was a different story. We got there at 10:30am and luckily didn’t hit any traffic getting onto the Island but there were still a ton of people already at the farm! We were a little shocked but it was a totally perfect sunny crisp fall day that morning so I guess we shouldn’t of known. We had a lot of fun, rode the hay wagon out to the pumpkin field and then quickly realized the pumpkins were waaay more massive than in previous years and opted to just get one from the ones they had already picked back at the market.(2 weeks prior to this Mars’ hair was basically as long as mine!!)This farm has an awesome selection of food vendors so we got some polish dogs and beers and sat in the grass while Luna ran around. She was having a blast but definitely a little over whelmed at times with the amount of people and activity going on around her. I’ll probably take her back during the week again when there are fewer people. It’s a great place to spend a couple hours in the morning before naptime hits 🙂
