Today marks my husband and I’s three year wedding anniversary. We were together for 5 years prior, making for a total of 8 years!! So crazy. I feel like we have grown together as a couple so much over that time. I would be lying if I said it has been all butterfly’s and roses but really…it nearly has. Of course we bicker over the same stupid things… over, and over, and over again but, that’s marriage, and I wouldn’t change it.
Mars is truly one of the most self-sacrificing people I have ever known. He would do ANYTHING (and truly mean that) for Luna and I. He works his ass off to continue to advance in his career, and never once, has he ever complained. Even when promotions mean longer hours, he doesn’t flinch. And he does it all for Luna and I. He has provided me with the privilege to be able to stay at home with Luna while continuing my freelance design career. While he has always been hardworking seeing him step into the roll of fatherhood has been so special. The way his face lights up when he walks in the door and sees Luna after a long day at work is truly magical. I feel like I hit the jackpot with him.
Looking back on our wedding day (you can see it featured here on Style Me Pretty) is always so special. I love having these moments to relive over and over. So here is to a man that deserves me at my best, for never flinching when I’m at my worst. Happy 3rd Anniversary Mars, I love you.
