When it comes to fragrances I have tried quite a few over the past few years in hopes of finding one that I could commit to and could really become my ‘signature scent.’ From cheap drugstore buys to expensive, I only want to use this sparingly because it cost so damn much, fragrances. I’ve tried them all.
It wasn’t until a couple weeks ago when I was in Anthropologie that I found THE ONE! I had actually gone in to try and find the Mermaid No.1 perfume that I had heard a lot about, but with no luck I started sniffing away at the countless other perfumes they had. And that’s when I found it, Fictions Eau De Parfum line, specifically the London She Knew He Was Forever. Initially I was drawn to the packaging. (I’m a designer so this tends to be a trend that gets me to take interest in a product) Not only was the packaging beautiful, and well crafted but the scent of this fragrance was basically everything I had ever been looking for and so much more!! (dramatic, I know, but I just love the smell so much!) The fragrance is a floral scent but not overly sweet like I find many floral scents to be. It’s top notes are magnolia and honeysuckle (my two favorite floral scents!) and subtle hints of green tea, honey, and a warm woody smell. Basically everything I could ever want to smell constantly.
I initially purchased the smaller, travel sized bottle so I could test it out for a couple weeks and make sure I was still in love with it before I purchased the full-size, more expensive bottle. One thing I’ve noticed with this perfume is a little goes a long way and lasts all day! Something that any quality fragrance really should do. And really, the cost of the full size bottle, $48, isn’t really all that much for something I think will last for months and months.
Safe to say, I’ve purchased the full-size bottle and will stick with this scent for the foreseeable future. 🙂
